Well the Colorado contingent was once again split down the middle with three (3) yeas (Degette, Perlmutter and Tancredo) guess who is getting a 'No' vote from me. I guess they want to wipe out the bad loans and start making more sub-prime loans and we will be right back here with more & more debt for the taxpayers. It cannot go on...and it won't...! I agree with Dave's plan, not the Fed's plan! I hate to see the govt. going into much more debt over this, right now over 20% of our taxes go to interest alone on the national DEBT! I would like to see which are coming up for election this year and which are not. My suspicion is that those not up for election this year voted for the bill, then once the bill was guaranteed to pass, those coming up for election this year could vote no to preserve their seat.

My wife and I are very disappointed with the Congress for voting yes on this bailout. This is a very sad day and it breaks our hearts to see what is happening to our country.
We have been very responsible with our own debts, not expecting anyone to bail us out. We have a small business in California for the last 24 years. The only way we have been able to stay in business for 24 years, was to trust the Lord to provide for us, not to borrow money and to understand that not all the money earned from our business was ours to use for only ourselves. It is ashamed that the taxpayers young & old now have to pay for the people we voted into office that have been helping themselves with our hard earned money.

I wrote to my representative and senators this week and explained my positon regarding this bill. A no vote from them means a yes vote from me. My position stands, but the coup is a done deal and I believe “votes” are a moot point and may soon be passe as we know them. So this November may be our last chance.
Remember today. It represents the end of the United States of America and what it STOOD for. We sold out our country for cars, homes, college loans, and stocks and bonds. Not a shot was fired as Kruschev predicted so many years ago. Judas is alive and well in all of us and symbolically the “30 pieces of silver” — paid in full. May our ancestors and future generations forgive us.
My senators split and both got it wrong. Thune voted for it. Shame on him. Johnson voted against it. Why was he wrong - because he wanted MORE!
Rep Herseth-Sandlin got it right. She listened to us.

My two senators (Enzi and Barrasso) voted to oppose the bill, and as such I can still vote for them. My "Representative" (Cubin) voted to support the bill TWICE so She is TWICE an oath-breaker! on only ONE issue! The same can be said for The D and R presidential candidates (and anyone who voted to support the 850 billion bailout bill) THEY ARE ALL OATH-BREAKERS! ! ! ! ! Dont be fooled.Many Democratic reps were allowed to vote "no" by their leadership if they are in tightly contested districts, such as ours in Pennsylvania. Mr.Carney, the Democratic incumbent would surely have voted yes in a normal situation, but he is in a tight race in a predominantly Republican district.

Goodbye Brady - My hard earned money just went down to the Gulf of Mexico My husband and I work hard everyday. We have supported 4 children through College. My husband and I do not ask for hand outs. We just went through Hurrican IKE and had damaged to our property and our home. We didn't ask FEMA for help. Look at what a mess they are and they do start with "FEDERAL". This makes me sick. We are in the process of cleaning and fixing our home (which is paid for). We filed with insurance but only the Good Lord knows when we will see a penny from them. I hope the "FEDS" will go after the CEO's that made millions for the mistakes they made. Where was SOX. You have other companies spending millions on SOX - What happened to the banks??? I am mad at WASHINGTON.. Everyone needs to be replaced. Yea Palin she is the only one I believe now. What a breath of fresh air....

Remember those that voted "no" were not intersted in helping the little guy. Representatives like Feeney, Keller and Senator Nelson were did not even understand the contents of the bill. They were still quoted as saying congress was giving money to wall street. No, the goverment was buying assets. Much like and investment. That is not like when the goverment lets some people receive benefits without paying taxes. Now that is a giving away tax dollars. That would be the 100 million households biden says need more of a break. Give me a break. I would love to receive so much for so little. But then again I beleive in paying my share (but only my share).

Comment by Stephanie Oct 3rd, 2008 at 1:33 pm I wrote to my representative and senators this week and explained my positon regarding this bill. A no vote from them means a yes vote from me. My position stands, but the coup is a done deal and I believe “votes” are a moot point and may soon be passe as we know them. So this November may be our last chance. Remember today. It represents the end of the United States of America and what it STOOD for. We sold out our country for cars, homes, college loans, and stocks and bonds. Not a shot was fired as Kruschev predicted so many years ago. Judas is alive and well in all of us and symbolically the “30 pieces of silver” — paid in full. May our ancestors and future generations forgive us.
