I will be voting against anyone who voted for this bill. Why shouldn’t the banks be accountable
for the subprime loans they issued to people. Why should we go into debt for that. We need Dave Ramsey in office to balance the budget and get some common sense back in politics.

I will be voting for my congressman Mario Diaz-Balart. He voted no and h— no to this bill. He heard the people and saw the devil in the details of this “bail out bill”.

The people we elect are suppose to be a voice for the people who voted for them…..Could they not hear us screaming “VOTE NO”…. I guess they wont have a problem hearing us say “GO ON BACK HOME”

For over a HALF CENTURY my wife and I have believed the proper thing to do was to pay our bills on time, -no matter what-. Every mortgage payment, every credit card payment, installment loan, etc. So we did. Even if we had to do without for the time being.

Now our retirement and home values have basically fallen in HALF. I have every cent remaining invested in GOLD. It may not pay a dividend, but I know for a fact my -purchasing power- is secure. As they say, an ounce of gold would buy a man a fine suit of clothes in the 1920s, and it —still will today— That’s good enough for me. And I know that statement is correct and factual.

A yes vote by my “elected things” will garner a no vote, as well as campaigning for their opponent. It’s called “Blowback” – And It’s time they experience it.

I would first like to say that I am disgusted with what transpired in Washington last week. I always knew about the back-scratching that went on in order to get things done, but I have never seen it so transparent as it was last week. I am fortunate that my Democratic Congresswoman Kthy Castor, and one of the Senators of my State, Bill Nelson, had the guts to go against the grain. They have secured my vote for re-election. The other Senator, a representative of my registered party, Mel Martinez will not be so lucky. I can only hope that every single voter who is just as tired will follow suit and vote out the trash out of Washington.

On a side note to Don 10/3/08 at 6:41p: Mel Martinez is in no way a representative of all Cuban Americans and your statement is completely ignorant and uninformed. If you do your homework you will find that Cuban Americans are amongst the hardest-working and most educated, not to mention patriotic, minorities and Congress and the United States should consider themselves lucky when and if a worthwhile Cuban American is voted into Congress again. This is in no way an endoresement of Mel Martinez (I voted for Betty Castor).

I thought that for a change someone would stand up to all the corruption
but in the end they waffled and once again the tax payers get the shaft will the fat cats get the gold.
somehow I knew it was all a show but we can hope…. I guess ….maybe there is no hope left….sad day for America and the whole world….as we go down the creek with out a paddle
